Serenity Therapeutic Massage Clinic offers an inclusive, comfortable, tranquil atmosphere that promotes therapeutic treatment. Our Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are hand-picked professionals, skilled in a broad variety of evidence-based techniques. Each client receives a customised course of treatment appropriate to their personal needs and requirements. Among other things, massage can benefit chronic neck and shoulder stiffness related to long-term computer use, relieve pressure and strain on the back related to standing long hours, help to reduce pain related to body changes during pregnancy, and can help with muscular discomfort due to sports and other physical activities. We are a safe space for all body types as well as for queer and trans people.

Prenatal Massage Therapy

Pregnancy massage Therapy is an effective, safe, and comforting treatment for the swelling, muscle tension, and general discomfort that can be associated with pregnancy. Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) use techniques to decrease muscular pain related to postural changes, calm the nervous system to aid with sleep and healing, and decrease swelling related to fluid retention.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

BCST is a gentle but very profound non-invasive, hands-on treatment for the whole body. The treatment is focused on listening to and supporting the health of the body as a whole being, enabling the inherent intelligence of the client's system to be expressed.

Kate Douglass, RMT (she/her, they/them) graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 1996 and has practiced on Vancouver’s West Side ever since. Kate opened Serenity Therapeutic Massage in 2005 and has enjoyed watching it grow into a thriving clinic in the years since.

The main focus of Kate’s practice is on rehabilitative massage therapy and prenatal massage, using slow, specific pressure to treat deeper musculature without causing reactive tissue resistance or pain.

Kate welcomes all bodies and all genders and is queer- and trans-inclusive.

Kate can direct bill to Pacific Blue Cross but does not accept patients with active ICBC claims.
